Inside a 40′ x 80′ post-frame shop built for an RV, a car lift, and a full wood shop, tucked right into the corner of a Parker, Colorado property.
The owner started out working from a small shed next to the house and needed room to grow, for the business and for personal projects. Three things were non-negotiable: an RV door, a vehicle lift, and dedicated woodworking space. The team sat down and planned the layout around how vehicles and equipment would move in and out, and how the building would fit the rest of the property.
The finished shop includes a two-inch insulated roof and wall system for a condensation barrier, a large ceiling fan for air circulation, and a heavily reinforced concrete slab built to carry a 10,000 lb car lift. The RV door rides on a high lift track for extra clearance, and the second door runs on a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth operator with battery backup. Upstairs, an 18′ x 40′ loft adds storage space, with the eave height raised to 18 feet on that side for extra headroom. The wood shop is fully insulated and drywalled, with HVAC and dust collection built in.
