Steel Structures America built this 24′ × 40′ × 14′ residential post-frame shop in Spokane, WA. Compact and functional, this project adds secure garage space with modern durability.
The building measures 24′ × 40′ with a 14′ eave height and a 4/12 gable roof pitch. Its size makes it well-suited for residential use, offering enough room for vehicles, tools, and hobby storage. Though simple in footprint, the design prioritizes strength and clean lines.
The raised-panel overhead door provides wide access for larger vehicles, while the walk-in door offers convenient daily entry.
The structure rests on a smooth 24′ × 40′ × 4″ concrete slab, reinforced with fibermesh and saw-cut joints for durability. Posts were set on Perma-Columns®, which keep all wood above grade to prevent rot and extend the life of the building. A reinforced 24′ × 22′ × 4″ concrete pad with rebar was also added in front of the shop for extra parking and access.
This Spokane project shows how SSA designs smaller post-frame shops that are practical, durable, and tailored for residential properties.
