Steel Structures America built this 30′ × 40′ × 14′ residential post-frame shop in Medical Lake, WA. This building provides versatile space for vehicles, storage, or hobby use, with an attached lean-to for extra coverage.
The main structure measures 30′ × 40′ with a 14′ eave height and a 4/12 gable roof pitch. A 12′ × 40′ lean-to extends from the side, designed with an 8′ eave height for sheltered outdoor storage and flexible use.
The building features durable 29-gauge steel siding and roofing. Gable vents provide airflow, while enclosed soffit trim completes the clean exterior.
Access points include:
The foundation includes a smooth 1,200 sq. ft. concrete slab, 4″ thick and reinforced with fibermesh for strength. Posts were set on Perma-Columns®, which keep all wood above grade and extend the building’s lifespan. For the lean-to, treated posts were mounted on Perma-Column brackets for added durability.
This Medical Lake project highlights how SSA builds residential pole buildings that are compact, practical, and built to last.
