Steel Structures America built this post-frame shop in Parker, CO to handle a growing personal and business workload. The owner needed room for an RV, a vehicle lift, and a woodworking shop, all tucked into one corner of the property so it would still flow with the rest of the yard.
Because the building sits close to daily traffic and family gatherings on the property, the layout had to work for everyday life too. As a result, the crew planned the driveway approach first, then built the shop, lift bay, and loft around that path so vehicles and equipment move in and out without any tight turns.
Instead of the usual homeowner interview, this project features a Steel Structures America project manager touring the finished build. Drawing on decades of post-frame construction experience, he walks through the reasoning behind decisions most tours never cover, from the slab reinforcement to the loft framing.

| Concrete | A heavily reinforced concrete slab, poured to support a 10,000 lb car lift. |
| Living Space | An 18′ x 40′ loft with custom railing, built for extra storage above the shop floor. |
| Interior Finishes | A dedicated wood shop with HVAC, a dust collection system, and fully insulated drywall. |
| Additional Features | Two-inch insulation on the roof and walls for a condensation barrier and better light reflectivity, plus a large ceiling fan for air circulation. |
