Sometimes one detail sets the whole design in motion. For this custom 60′ x 72′ x 16′ post-frame shop in Redmond, Oregon, that detail was a copper roof spotted on a building near the local airport. Nothing else would do after that.
Steel Structures America built the shop around it, pairing Tuff Rib wall panels in Burnished Slate with a standing seam roof and matching wainscot in Copper Metallic. A centered gable dormer tops the building and opens the loft above to natural light, while the layout inside was shaped entirely around how the owner uses the space.
