Steel Structures America built this 36′ × 40′ × 16′ residential post-frame building in Spokane, WA. This project combines a functional garage-style layout with a clean residential finish, making it ideal for storage, vehicles, or workshop use.
The main structure measures 36′ × 40′ with a 16′ eave height and a 4/12 gable roof pitch. Its open layout allows for flexible use while maintaining a strong, modern appearance.
The exterior includes durable 29-gauge steel siding with contrasting trim, fascia, and soffits. A burnished slate wainscot wraps the front gable, adding protection and visual contrast.
The overhead doors feature cottage-style panels with decorative inserts, creating a custom look that complements the residential design.
Posts were set on Perma-Columns®, which keep all wood above grade and extend the life of the building. A smooth 36′ × 40′ concrete slab reinforced with fibermesh and saw cuts provides a strong foundation.
The roof and siding were supplied by Metal America, SSA’s sister company. Locally manufactured steel ensures long-lasting durability and weather protection.
This Spokane project shows how SSA creates custom post-frame buildings that balance functionality with a residential look.
