Steel Structures America built this 40′ x 84′ x 20′ post-frame shop in Rathdrum, ID for a customer who needed serious space under one roof. Beyond the main building, two enclosed 12′ x 84′ lean-tos run the full length of each side. As a result, the roofline steps down on both sides of the main gable. The shop reads lower and wider than its footprint suggests.
In addition, an 8′ wide porch wraps 104 feet around the building. Overhead door canopies and a gable extension, both trimmed with corbels, give the front elevation depth. Throughout, the black and charcoal color scheme keeps the look clean and modern.
