Steel Structures America built this custom shop and garage in Sisters, Oregon, for a customer who wanted room for an RV, a truck, motorcycles, and everything else that comes with life in Central Oregon. Because the property sits among ponderosa pines just outside town, the design pairs a two bay garage with a covered outdoor area for tools, gear, and everyday storage.

Design & Layout

Two oversized garage door bays give the owner separate pull-through space for larger vehicles alongside room for motorcycles and outdoor equipment. Additionally, a covered lean-to runs along one side of the building, creating a shaded spot for firewood, tools, and anything else that does not need to sit indoors.

“Stack it, stack it, stack it. We kind of just put it out so we can get to it when we want it.”

Exterior & Features

The exterior pairs tan wall panels with dark brown trim, roofline, and door accents, a combination that blends naturally into the surrounding pine forest. On top of that, the roof includes solar panel mounts, positioning the building for solar power. A paved driveway leads straight to both garage doors, so access stays easy through every season.

“We didn’t want it to stick out. We wanted it to look like it kind of belonged here.”
