Steel Structures America built a 60′ x 60′ x 20′ commercial post-frame showroom in Coeur d’Alene, ID for Cal Cars, a full-service auto sales and service operation. The ground floor handles customer sales and vehicle service. The second floor houses a complete private office suite.

That height gives Cal Cars a tall, open showroom floor. The lower side wings keep the service bay area practical and efficient.
Furthermore, two decorative timber frame trusses are incorporated into the interior, giving Cal Cars a commercial look that goes beyond a standard warehouse or service building.
Exterior & Features
Walls are 26-gauge PBR panel siding. The roof is 26-gauge mechanically seamed standing seam metal over 5/8-inch plywood sheathing. Because the panels lock together without exposed fasteners, this system reduces long-term leak points and handles heavy Idaho snow well.
The building includes lots of windows and a double glass entry door. In addition, the exterior features rock and stone veneer on the building shell. Steel Structures America framed the structure specifically to receive this stonework, giving Cal Cars a finished, high-visibility street presence.
Concrete & Foundation
Steel Structures America poured a 5-inch fibermesh-reinforced concrete slab on the ground floor. The perimeter includes an R-10 rigid insulation frost barrier. Since the site sits at approximately 2,229 feet of elevation, this detail matters for long-term slab performance.
Posts were set on Perma-Columns®, which keep all wood above grade and extend the life of the building.
