This residential post-frame building in Medical Lake, WA was designed for year-round function, equipment access, and dependable protection. The customer wanted a versatile layout with wide access points and strong structural performance.
The main building measures 48 × 30 with a 14 foot eave height and a 6/12 roof pitch. This creates efficient snow shedding and a comfortable interior volume. The 12 × 30 lean-to, also built with a 6/12 pitch, extends along one side at an 8 foot eave height to support outdoor storage and daily use. A 10 × 4 foot gable extension and two 18 foot canopy covers add weather protection at key entry points. Decorative corbels and added posts around the man door elevate both strength and appearance.
The exterior uses 29 gauge steel siding in Charcoal with Black fascia, trim, corners, and soffits. The Black metal roof ties the entire color scheme together for a bold, cohesive look. Two insulated 16 × 12 overhead doors feature a medium wood grain cottage panel design with a single row of windows. A single walk-in door offers secure entry, and three 4 × 3 XO vinyl windows bring natural light throughout the space.
A 48 × 30 concrete slab, poured at 4 inches thick, forms a strong and durable base. The slab includes fibermesh reinforcement, saw cuts, a gravel base, and a smooth finish.
